Our Story
Founded in 1987 by Canadian entrepreneur Marcus Thornfield, Skyline Fun Park began as a small family-owned carnival that traveled across Ontario during summer months. Marcus had a vision to create a permanent destination where families could experience the thrill of world-class attractions while enjoying the natural beauty of Canada's landscape.
After years of successful touring, the Thornfield family acquired 150 acres of pristine land in Ontario, transforming it into what would become Canada's most beloved amusement park destination. The park officially opened its gates in 1992 with just five rides and a dream to bring joy to families across the nation.
Today, Skyline Fun Park spans over 300 acres and features more than 40 thrilling attractions, from heart-pounding roller coasters to gentle family rides. Our commitment to safety, innovation, and exceptional guest experiences has made us a cornerstone of Canadian family entertainment for over three decades.
What started as one man's passion for creating magical moments has evolved into a legacy that continues to inspire wonder and excitement in visitors from around the world. Every ride, every show, and every interaction is designed with our founding principle in mind: creating unforgettable memories that bring families closer together.
